Creating a MySQL User (Windows)

Creating a MySQL user can be done within your Media3 control panel.

Once logged into your account, select "My Cloud Services" from the menu on the left.

Your account will load on the right side and then you can click the Windows logo next to your account name to manage it.

A new menu will load on the left hand side, here you should see "Manage MySQL DB's" towards the middle of the menu. Select "Manage MySQL DB's" and your MySQL options will load in the right pane.
Click the gear and wrench logo next to your database name to manage your MySQL DB.
New tabs will load at the top and you will want to select the tab that says “Add MySQL User”.
Here you can fill out user name, password, select the database you want the user to connect to, and select the permissions you would like the user to have.
Once you filled out and selected the required information click “Submit” at the bottom and your MySQL user will be added.

Creating a MySQL User (cPanel)

Once logged into your account, select "My Cloud Services" from the menu on the left.

Your account will load on the right side and then you can click Linux logo(penguin) next to your account name to manage it.
Your cPanel administrator will load and if you scroll down you will see the section titled “Databases”
Click “MySQL Databses” and a new screen will load listing your DB’s.
Scroll down and you will see the section “MySQL Users” and below you have the option to “Add a New User”.
Fill out the username and password fields and click “Create User”.
Your user will be added, and then right below where you added the new user there is the section to “Add User To Database” select the new user from the drop down, then select the database you want the user to connect to from the second drop down menu.
Click “Add” and your new user will be ready to connect to your database.
